It is not a book you decided to write it is a book you had to write. It came from the tension of being called by God while simultaneously wrestling with the weight of your humanity, your emotions, your disappointments, and the private battles that leaders rarely admit they face.
The book emerged during a time when you were navigating betrayal, internal conflict, spiritual pressure, and the loneliness that often comes with carrying a mantle. You were preaching, teaching, leading, and pouring into others, yet privately wrestling with questions, fears, and frustrations that felt too heavy to voice. Instead of collapsing under that weight, you began documenting the journey. What started as personal notes, reflections, and raw conversations with God eventually became the manuscript.
You wrote this book because leaders bleed too, and the Church rarely gives them permission to be honest about it. You wrote it because people see the preacher, but they rarely see the person. It is rare to encounter one of God’s chosen servants openly discussing the mistakes they have made—especially those choices that led to the breakdown of their marriage and ministry. Such honesty is both humbling and courageous, allowing others to see that even those called to serve are not immune to missteps and challenges.
This book, Diary of a Troubled Preacher, explores the theme of redemption. One key point about our calling is that it never expires, regardless of what takes place. Unlike humans, God expects us to recover, make amends, and restore His image within ourselves by returning to the work He has set before us.

This book was truly eye-opening for me. I deeply appreciated the author’s transparency in sharing his personal struggles—it made the message both relatable and impactful.
